AC Milan missed the chance to go two points clear at the top of Serie A after surrendering a two-goal lead in a dramatic 2-2 draw against relegation-threatened Parma on Saturday.
Milan looked to be cruising toward victory after going 2-0 up, but a spirited fightback from Parma denied Stefano Pioli’s side all three points. The result leaves Milan level with Napoli on 22 points, though the Rossoneri have played one game more.
Elsewhere, Juventus were left frustrated after being held to a goalless draw by city rivals Torino in a tense Derby della Mole. Despite dominating possession, Massimiliano Allegri’s men failed to find a breakthrough and now risk losing further ground in the title race.
In Germany, Bayern Munich’s record-breaking winning streak since the start of the Bundesliga season came to an end as they were held 2-2 by Union Berlin. The Bavarians twice took the lead but were pegged back each time by a resilient Union side.
The weekend’s results saw leaders across Europe stumble, keeping the title races in both Italy and Germany wide open.
