NCBA Bank is stepping up efforts to help lawyers, doctors and other professionals in Western Kenya turn their earnings into long-term wealth through investment, property ownership and financial planning.
The bank recently held its NCBA Wealth Masterclass forums in Kisumu and Kakamega, bringing together members of the legal profession and medical practitioners to discuss investment opportunities, asset protection and ways to secure their families’ financial future.
The sessions focused on helping professionals manage their income beyond daily expenses and career demands by exploring additional income streams, property acquisition, business expansion and long-term investment strategies.
“Professional success should create more than income. It should create opportunity, security and a lasting legacy, the bank aims to connect customers with financial solutions that match their changing needs,” said Dennis Njau NCBA Group Director for Retail Banking
Njau said career achievements should provide a foundation for financial security and lasting wealth. The forums come as property and construction continue to contribute to economic activity in Western Kenya.
According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics’ 2024 County Statistical Abstract for Kakamega, the county’s Gross County Product reached approximately Sh291.8 billion in 2023. Real estate activities contributed Sh18.8 billion, while construction accounted for Sh5.2 billion.
In Kisumu, a 2022 housing market report by the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company estimated that 42.2 per cent of households rented their homes, suggesting that approximately 57.8 per cent owned their homes. Although the figures are historical, they highlight the role of housing finance in helping households achieve homeownership.
NCBA said its services for professionals combine retail banking, wealth management, investment solutions, property finance and bank assurance to support different financial goals.
The bank’s offerings include Property Duka and Easy Build for property-related needs, alongside investment advisory, insurance and protection services. Retail Solar Leasing is also part of its wider range of financial solutions.
Through these services, professionals can explore ways to build investment portfolios, purchase residential or commercial property, develop land and protect their assets against financial risks.
The meetings also gave the bank an opportunity to understand the financial priorities of professionals and strengthen relationships beyond routine banking services. Njau said NCBA intends to remain a financial partner as customers expand their ambitions and seek to protect the wealth they have accumulated.
Under its “Banking on Belief, Empowering Ambition” purpose, the bank says it aims to help customers build, grow and safeguard their finances at different stages of their lives.
NCBA said it will continue using relationship-led banking and integrated financial services to help professionals make informed decisions about their income, businesses and long-term financial security.
