Co-operative Bank of Kenya has expanded its Captain’s Club Network Gala Dinner series to Eldoret, Kisumu and Nakuru as it seeks to deepen its premium banking services beyond Nairobi.
The bank launched the regional forums under its Executive Banking Plus proposition, with the Eldoret event held on August 7, followed by Kisumu on August 14 and Nakuru on August 21, 2026. Each gala brought together about 100 existing Executive Banking Plus clients and high-potential prospects from the bank’s retail and business divisions.
The expansion follows the success of the inaugural Captain’s Club Gala Dinner, Coast Edition, held at Tamarind Hotel in Nyali in April 2026.
Co-operative Bank said the move is aimed at strengthening its presence in key regional economic centres where business activity in agriculture, trade, manufacturing and logistics continues to grow.
The three galas also provided an opportunity to activate the bank’s recently established Executive Plus Centres in the respective cities. The facilities are located at Rupa’s Mall in Eldoret, Milimani in Kisumu and Riria Hub in Nakuru.
The centres provide premium customers with concierge-level banking services, wealth planning support and access to fully equipped executive boardrooms.
Speaking at the Eldoret event, Co-operative Bank Head of Executive Banking Fredrick Okello said the Captain’s Club was designed to create a community among the bank’s accomplished and ambitious customers.
“World-class banking is not a Nairobi privilege. It belongs everywhere that business thrives in this country,” Okello said.
The expansion comes as Kenya’s affluent market continues to present opportunities for wealth management and investment services. According to the Africa Wealth Report 2025, Kenya has about 6,800 millionaires, with Nairobi accounting for 47 per cent of the country’s total private wealth.
Co-optrust Investment Services, the bank’s fund management arm, reported assets under management of more than KES 500 billion as of June 2025, highlighting growing demand for structured wealth management solutions.
The Captain’s Club forms part of Co-operative Bank’s Executive Plus offering, giving members access to curated networking forums, investment and advisory services, exclusive financial benefits and dedicated relationship management.
The benefits include unsecured personal loans of up to KES 10 million, Visa Platinum debit and credit cards, wealth and investment advisory services, priority access to international business delegations and trade trips, as well as concierge-level banking services.
