NCBA Bank has shown its commitment to inclusive and sustainable community development once again after donating a vehicle to Tumaini St. Thorlak Autism Centre in Nanyuki, a gesture that will facilitate access to care for children with autism and their families.

The vehicle was handed over by the NCBA Group Managing Director, Mr John Gachora, to the Archbishop of Nyeri, Rev. Anthony Muheria, on December 26, 2025. The Archbishop received the vehicle on behalf of the centre, which operates under his Archdiocese.

The donation is instrumental in facilitating the daily transportation of children and caregivers to and from the centre. Thus, access to essential services will be greatly improved. Previously, many families, especially those living in remote areas around Nanyuki, experienced transportation difficulties, which resulted in limited attendance.

Now having a new vehicle, the centre is ready to deliver services more efficiently, ensure safety, and carry out outreach programs to nearby communities and more children will benefit regularly from the specialized autism care.

A Centre Serving a Growing Need

Beyond Banking: NCBAs Commitments to the Communities

The gift is part of NCBAs’ larger citizenship plan, #NCBAChangeTheStory, under which the bank allocates KES 100 million annually for community development projects aimed at sustainability. The program concentrates on creating social impact in the long run by helping vulnerable groups and fortifying the community, based on solutions.

Driving Inclusion and Hope

By empowering Tumaini St. Thorlak Autism Centre with a vehicle, NCBA is helping remove barriers to care and giving families renewed hope. The initiative stands as a powerful example of how purpose-driven partnerships can transform lives, one community, and one journey at a time.
