Java House Expands Operations to Eldoret & Ruaka During Peak Holiday Season

Java House has launched two new full service restaurants in Ruaka, Kiambu County and in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County in a bid to take advantage of the hectic holiday travel patterns in the festive season in Kenya.

The Eldoret branch, situated along the busy Eldoret-Kisumu road, enhances Java House’s base in the North Rift, an area observed to possess dynamic business activities and a large number of commuters.

However, the Ruaka branch, set up in Shell Ruaka takes up the demand for good dining areas within one of the most growing urban centers in Kiambu.

Addressing the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Ruaka branch, Java House Group CEO Priscilla Gathungu pointed out the significance of the new branches.

“The opening of these two new branches is proof of our commitment to reaching even more communities with the Java experience. Eldoret serves an important transit route, and it has also proven to be an important hub in which families and communities come together on a daily basis. With this in mind, to set up full branches in these areas allows us to grow alongside our customers,” said Ms. Gathungu.

These openings come after the recent opening of Java House’s Mawanda branch in Kampala, Uganda, marking the expansion of the brand’s branches to a total of 102 branches spread across East Africa, including 95 branches in Kenya.

According to Jave, both restaurants have modern and open concepts, colorful décor, and a welcoming ambiance that combines comfort and African hospitality. The new look not only fits Java House’s innovative concepts and offerings such as guest chef menus and holiday specials every month but also provides a fresh and exciting dining experience for customers.

This is in line with Java House’s 2025 festive campaign, dubbed “That Kafestive Feeling,” where they aim at creating joy and convenience for their customers. Ms. Gathungu noted, “The timing of the festive season is also strategic for Java House as it gets an opportunity to bring some festivity closer to its customers while still upholding their core value of freshly prepared foods.”

In addition to improving convenience for customers, the Ruaka and Eldoret branches represent Java House’s investments in East Africa’s restaurant industry and efforts in building local capacity in this area.

Through these expansion moves, Java House solidifies its status as a popular eating outlet not only for locals during the festive season but for visitors as well.
