East African Breweries PLC (EABL) has unveiled The Singleton of Glen Ord 17-Year-Old ‘Into the Blue’ in Kenya, marking the local debut of one of Diageo’s most anticipated Special Releases for 2025.

The ultra-rare single malt is the first expression in the new ‘Horizons Unbound’ collection — a series dedicated to celebrating innovation, boundary-pushing cask experimentation, and exceptional whisky craftsmanship.

Speaking during the announcement, Simon Lapyem, Brand Manager for The Singleton East Africa, expressed pride in introducing the exclusive release to the Kenyan market. “This unique release allows collectors to experience a rare highlight from The Singleton, curated by Master Blender Dr. Stuart Morrison. ‘Into the Blue’ is a testament to his creative mastery, blending innovation with tradition for a truly exceptional whisky,” he said.

Matured for 17 years, ‘Into the Blue’ stands out for its innovative finishing process, which combines ex-mezcal casks with second-fill Spanish sherry casks.

The result is a richly layered whisky with vibrant fruit aromas, a velvety sweetness on the palate, and a refined mineral finish, a deliberate evolution from The Singleton’s classic house style.

Positioned for discerning whisky enthusiasts, collectors, and adventurous flavour explorers, the limited-edition expression will be available in Kenya beginning December 5, 2025, as part of the global rollout.

To mark its entry into the market, The Singleton will also host a series of exclusive curated tasting experiences in Nairobi, giving enthusiasts a first opportunity to savour the rare release.
