NCBA expands branch network with new opening in Tatu City
NCBA Bank has officially opened its Tatu City branch, strengthening its presence in Kiambu County and reaffirming its commitment to supporting businesses and individuals in one of Kenya’s fastest-growing economic hubs.
Located in Eneo at Tatu Central, a premier mixed-use retail and commercial development, the new branch aims to provide tailored banking solutions to the region’s thriving manufacturing, SME, and real estate sectors. This marks NCBA’s seventh branch in Kiambu County, following the recent openings in Githunguri and Limuru last year.
Tatu City, designated as Kenya’s leading Special Economic Zone (SEZ), has attracted numerous manufacturing firms, logistics companies, and SMEs due to its modern infrastructure, reliable power, and improved road networks. NCBA’s presence in the area aligns with the bank’s strategy to enhance financial accessibility while fostering economic growth.
“As NCBA, we are devoted to creating convenience and comfort for our customers. Whether it’s a resident looking for personal financing, an employee in need of a quick loan, or a business seeking asset financing or working capital, we are ready to partner with you,” said Dennis Njau, NCBA’s Acting Group Director of Retail Banking. He added that the new branch would reduce the need for customers to travel to neighboring towns for banking services.

The branch, which has been operational since November 2024, has already demonstrated strong performance, underscoring the bank’s retail expansion strategy.
NCBA has also collaborated with real estate developers in Tatu City to offer mortgage solutions targeting the 25,000+ residents, workers, and students in the area. Additionally, more than 100 businesses—either operational or in development—have benefited from NCBA’s financial solutions, including customized credit facilities for employees.
As part of its sustainability commitment, NCBA donated 100 trees and planted five ceremonial trees during the launch event to support Tatu City’s green initiatives.
“We are excited to bring NCBA services closer to our Tatu City customers, and we have received a positive reception from the community,” said Tim Armitage, NCBA’s Group Director of Risk and Compliance.
The expansion aligns with NCBA’s broader vision of supporting Kenya’s Vision 2030 by enhancing financial services in key economic regions.
