Football fans in Nairobi are in for an unforgettable experience as Guinness, the official beer of the Premier League, announces the return of its highly anticipated Guinness Matchday event. After a successful nationwide tour, the ultimate Premier League viewing experience is making its way back to Nairobi, this time set to take over Bar Next Door on Kiambu Road on February 1st and 2nd, 2025.
The two-day event promises to be bigger and better than ever, offering an immersive football experience that combines top-tier Premier League action with Guinness’ signature vibrant atmosphere. Fans can expect massive screens, crystal-clear audio, expert football punditry, and, of course, ice-cold Guinness served in an environment that celebrates Kenya’s vibrant football culture.
“After the success of the nationwide tour, we’re thrilled to bring Guinness Matchday back to Nairobi,” said Henrietta Reed, Marketing Manager at Guinness. “Nairobi is home to some of the most passionate Premier League fans in Kenya, and we can’t wait to share this epic experience with them. This weekend is not just about watching the games; it’s about creating an unforgettable atmosphere where fans can connect, celebrate football, and enjoy the unique Guinness vibe.”
Unlike typical sports viewing events, Guinness Matchday is designed to offer a one-of-a-kind experience. Attendees will be treated to expert analysis from a distinguished panel known as the Guinness Matchday Committee. This expert team includes football pundits Carol Radull, Director of Drinks Analysis, Lotan Salapei, Chief Entertainment Officer, Nana Owiti, Chief Snacks Officer, and Willis Raburu, Chief Vibes Officer. Together, they will offer in-depth commentary and analysis, providing fans with an all-encompassing view of the matches.
Beyond the expert punditry, Guinness Matchday is set to feature an exciting lineup of weekend Premier League games, delicious food, and drinks that will keep fans fueled and energized throughout the day. The event also offers an opportunity to meet and interact with fellow fans who share the same passion for the beautiful game
This year, the excitement doesn’t end with watching the games. The Guinness Cleansheet Challenge is back, along with the Matchday Minutes segment. These interactive competitions give fans a chance to win incredible prizes, including an all-expenses-paid trip to the UK to witness a live Premier League match in person
Football fans in Nairobi are invited to join the action at Bar Next Door, located along Kiambu Road, on February 1st and 2nd. The event will begin at 2:30 PM each day, with entry available through online registration.
This is more than just a chance to watch the Premier League – it’s an opportunity to be part of the larger football community, celebrate the sport, and enjoy a weekend filled with football, fun, and Guinness.
