The new Carrefour outlet spans 665 square meters and is designed to provide customers in Spring Valley with a comprehensive shopping experience. The store offers a wide variety of groceries, fresh produce, and essential household items. Customers can also benefit from Carrefour’s innovative self-checkout service, which aims to enhance convenience and reduce checkout times. With this addition, Carrefour now has seven stores in Kenya equipped with self-checkout, including locations at Westgate Shopping Mall, The Village Market, Sarit Centre, The Hub, Runda Mall, and GTC Mall.

Speaking at the launch, Christophe Orcet, Regional Director for East Africa at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, highlighted the company’s commitment to bringing quality and convenience closer to Kenyan consumers. “The opening of our new Spring Valley store underscores Carrefour’s dedication to increasing the accessibility of high-quality, affordable products and convenient shopping solutions for our Kenyan customers. This expansion is a testament to Majid Al Futtaim’s dedication to driving economic growth in the region through job creation, supporting local suppliers, and advancing modern retail practices,” Orcet stated.

Carrefour sources 99 percent of its products from local suppliers, further reinforcing its role in supporting the Kenyan economy.

To commemorate the launch, Carrefour is offering exclusive discounts on a variety of products for two weeks, providing customers with added value during the festive season.

With 26 stores across key cities such as Nairobi, Kisumu, and Mombasa, Carrefour continues to strengthen its footprint in Kenya.
