Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the prime suspect in the notorious Kware murders, has escaped from Gigiri Police Station along with 12 Eritrean detainees. The escape, which occurred around 5:00 a.m. today, has triggered a nationwide manhunt.

Khalusha, who had confessed to murdering 42 women and disposing of their bodies in an abandoned dumpsite in Embakasi, was in police custody awaiting arraignment.

The routine check conducted by Police Constable Gerald revealed the escape, as all 13 suspects were missing from their cells. The escapees include Khalusha and 12 Eritrean nationals who had been detained for illegal immigration.

The Eritrean detainees who escaped with Khalusha have been identified as Daniel Reso, Yosef Sarati, Adam Tetesalam, Felmon Sere, Felmon Bokr, Nenak Menan, Yonathan Reflon, Felmbas Seleb, Daniel Bokbenez, Filnan Kohene, Naham Nehomora, and Telcon Samuel.

The National Police Service has launched an urgent manhunt to recapture the fugitives. The escape has raised serious questions about the security measures at the Gigiri Police Station and has put additional pressure on the authorities to ensure the suspects are brought back into custody swiftly.

This incident marks a significant setback in the investigation of the Kware murders and has sparked widespread concern among the public and law enforcement officials. The authorities are calling on anyone with information about the whereabouts of the escapees to come forward and assist in the ongoing search.
