Samsung Electronics has unveiled a significant upgrade to its Hospitality TV lineup, now featuring compatibility with Apple AirPlay. This new integration allows hotel guests to effortlessly connect their iOS and iPadOS devices to in-room Samsung Hospitality TVs, enhancing the in-room entertainment experience.
With this update, guests can stream their favorite shows and movies from popular services, listen to personal music playlists, view photos, practice presentations, and even play games on the TV. The connection process is simplified through a unique, on-screen QR code, ensuring a private and secure link between the guest’s device and the TV. Importantly, all information about paired devices is automatically erased upon guest checkout, safeguarding personal data.

In addition to AirPlay compatibility, Samsung’s latest hospitality TVs are equipped with LYNK Cloud and SmartThings Pro for improved connectivity and management capabilities. LYNK Cloud offers a comprehensive solution for remote device management, customizable content, and interactive services such as in-room ordering and digital concierge. This platform also enables hotel managers to create personalized experiences and promotional content tailored to guests’ preferences.
SmartThings Pro enhances connectivity and interoperability with IoT devices throughout the hotel. Through a centralized dashboard, hotel IT managers can manage and monitor Samsung smart devices, including Hospitality TVs, Smart Signage, and air conditioning systems. This system is designed for scalability and easy integration, featuring customizable APIs to meet the diverse needs of hotel partners.
