Samsung’s 2025 AI TVs, powered by Samsung Vision AI and enhanced SmartThings integration, are reshaping how households interact with entertainment and connected living.
In an interview, Sam Odhiambo explains how the latest AI-driven televisions are becoming intuitive hubs that personalise viewing, strengthen home connectivity, and deliver smarter, more secure experiences.
Q. The phrase “Smart Living” is becoming quite common. What does it actually mean for Samsung in relation to television?
A. For Samsung, Smart Living means transforming the television into an intuitive screen that adapts to the user’s environment and preferences. Through our 2025 lineup of TVs powered by Samsung Vision AI, we view the television not simply as a display but as a companion in the home, one that senses ambient conditions, adjusts picture and sound in real time and connects seamlessly into your lifestyle.
Q. How is Samsung using Artificial Intelligence within its latest TV models?
A. AI is central to our Vision of AI-enabled TVs. These models employ on-device neural networks to analyse both content and the environment, delivering features such as Click to Search, Live Translate, and AI Upscaling Pro. Beyond picture and sound enhancement, our 2025 TV models also integrate with the 2025 SmartThings ecosystem and security via Samsung Knox, ensuring the connected-home experience is both intelligent and secure.
Q. The SmartThings ecosystem is often mentioned. How does this work via the TV?
A. Our 2025 Samsung AI TVs act as central hubs for SmartThings. With the built-in SmartThings Hub, the TV can serve as the interface for routines, home insights, and connected-device management. For example, you might set a routine so that when you start a movie, the soundbar switches to the appropriate mode, all orchestrated via the TV and SmartThings.
Q. Data privacy and security are major concerns when devices connect to home networks. How does Samsung address this for its TV users?
A. Security is built in. The Samsung TVs support Knox protection, which extends across the display and into the SmartThings-connected ecosystem. Our goal is to ensure that as your TV becomes a smarter, more integrated node in your home, your data and device privacy remain safeguarded.
Q. How does this technology fit into Kenyan homes and entertainment habits?
A. While our global announcements speak broadly, we understand that Kenyan households value connectivity, entertainment and good design. Our Vision AI TVs and SmartThings-ready setup align with this, delivering richer content experiences, intuitive smart-home integration, and visually outstanding screens that match the premium segment Kenyan buyers are increasingly pursuing.
Q. Finally, what does the future of Smart Living look like for Samsung television users?
A. The future is one of deeper integration and smarter experience. With Vision AI at its core, the screen will not only display content but also understand context, adapt across devices, and act as a seamless interface in the connected home.
Expect TVs that learn your habits, anticipate your preferences, and give you more time for what matters: life, family, and experiences.
