Pomp and Colour Expected as Lagos Incoming Polo Tour Returns to Nairobi

1 Mins read

The highly anticipated Lagos Incoming Tour is set to make a grand return to the Nairobi Polo Club this weekend, promising a spectacle of sport, style, and social flair.

The international tournament, one of the most elite fixtures on Kenya’s social calendar, will see top local polo talent go head-to-head with visiting teams from the Lagos Polo Club in a thrilling display of sportsmanship, precision, and elegance.

The two-day event is expected to attract Nairobi’s polo enthusiasts, fashion lovers, and socialites for a weekend brimming with high-octane action and glamour.

Adding to the excitement, Tusker Malt, a long-time supporter of the sport, will headline the experience with a Craft Room activation, a unique space where guests can indulge in premium malt beers, enjoy ambient music, and witness live creative showcases by celebrated Kenyan artisans Ted Josiah and Sue Mueni.

“Tusker Malt is more than just a beer; it is an experience designed to celebrate craftsmanship and culture. We are excited to once again create a memorable experience in partnership with the Nairobi Polo Club for this weekend’s Lagos Incoming Tour,” said Rediet Yigezu, Tusker Malt’s Senior Brand Manager. “Our presence speaks to our devotion to creating spaces where elegance, sport, and social connection come to life.”

In line with its commitment to celebrating local creativity, Tusker Malt will this year spotlight collaborations with Sue Mueni’s Sued Watches and Ted Josiah’s Joka Jok, highlighting the intersection of craftsmanship, creativity, and community.

Through such initiatives, the brand continues to champion Kenya’s creative industry,  bridging craft, culture, and sport to redefine the polo experience beyond the pitch.

As the Lagos players arrive in Nairobi on Thursday, anticipation is building for what promises to be a weekend of competitive games, elegant fashion, and Tusker Malt magic that has earned the event legendary status.

Tusker Malt has extended an open invitation to fans, artists, and sports enthusiasts to join in a weekend of fun, elegance, and sportsmanship, where art and culture meet the timeless spirit of polo.
