EldoHub today hosted a Town Hall on Kenya’s National Data Governance Policy, bringing together innovators, policymakers, and community leaders from across the North Rift region for a collaborative dialogue shaping the country’s digital future.
The discussions focused on inclusivity, accountability, and trust in data governance, exploring how responsible data management can unlock innovation, strengthen public confidence, and create new economic opportunities for all Kenyans.
Speaking during the event, EldoHub Chief Executive Officer Magdalene Chepkemoi underscored the importance of involving local communities in conversations around data governance and the digital economy.
“Data is the new infrastructure of development. By ensuring that communities across the country understand and participate in shaping how data is managed, we build a foundation for innovation that is inclusive, secure, and sustainable,” said Ms. Chepkemoi.
The Town Hall was convened in partnership with the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy and Total Information Management, as part of ongoing national engagements aimed at promoting public awareness and participation in the implementation of the National Data Governance Policy.
Through these dialogues, stakeholders are helping to create a data-driven Kenya—one where information empowers progress, innovation, and equitable growth across all sectors.
EldoHub remains committed to fostering innovation, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship across the North Rift, empowering young people and communities to leverage technology for social and economic transformation.
