Gilbert Masengeli, Deputy Inspector General of Police speaking in Kakamega on Saturday
Deputy Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli has issued a stern warning to individuals attempting to disrupt the nation’s peace and security, declaring that they will face the full force of the law.
Speaking during an official visit to Kakamega, Masengeli reassured Kenyans that security agencies are fully prepared to take swift legal action against any threats to public safety. His remarks come at a time when concerns over political tensions and security challenges have been on the rise.
“We will not tolerate any attempts to jeopardize the safety of Kenyans. Our security agencies are vigilant and ready to act decisively against any lawbreakers,” Masengeli stated.
During his visit, the Deputy IG presided over the laying of a foundation stone for the construction of a church and a mosque at the local Administration Police residential area, a move that underscores the importance of unity and religious coexistence among security personnel and the community.
He also called on Kenyans to uphold peace, adhere to the rule of law, and refrain from activities that could destabilize the nation. In particular, he urged security agencies to remain alert, especially in dealing with politicians whose actions could incite unrest.
With political activities intensifying across the country, Masengeli’s warning serves as a strong reminder that law enforcement authorities are keen on maintaining order and ensuring that no individual or group undermines national stability.
