Airtel Kenya surpasses 24 Million subscribers amid nationwide network expansion drive

Airtel Kenya has crossed a major milestone, surpassing the 24 million subscriber mark. The company intensifies its efforts to expand network coverage and enhance service delivery across the country.

The achievement, confirmed in the latest Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) sector statistics report. Reflects increasing public confidence in Airtel’s mission to provide reliable connectivity and digital services to all Kenyans, from bustling urban centres to remote, underserved areas.

Speaking during the launch of Airtel’s new nationwide campaign, ‘Na Bado Tunagrow’, Airtel Kenya Managing Director Ashish Malhotra reiterated the company’s long-term commitment to investing in Kenya’s digital future.

“We are deeply humbled by the support of over 24 million customers who continue to believe in us,” said Malhotra. “This is not the destination; it is part of a longer journey. We are committed to Kenya, and whilst we have made huge investments. Our mission of enriching lives and driving progress is still not done.”

Further, Airtel’s consistent investment in Kenya’s telecommunications infrastructure has seen significant enhancements in its network capacity. Customer service platforms, and distribution footprint. Particularly notable is the company’s expansion in the North Eastern counties of Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa — regions previously underserved by mobile connectivity.

The launch of the ‘Na Bado Tunagrow’ campaign symbolizes Airtel’s gratitude to its growing customer base and its pledge to continue delivering innovative, inclusive, and reliable digital services.

A key part of Airtel’s inclusive strategy is Airtel Money, the company’s financial services arm. Following recent upgrades to the platform. Users now enjoy faster, more reliable services tailored to meet evolving financial needs.

Malhotra noted that Airtel Money is helping bridge the financial inclusion gap in the country.

“With the recent upgrade of our Airtel Money platform, which brings speedy, reliable, and innovative services. We are seeing more Kenyans trusting us with their financial needs,” he said. “And we continue to improve as we promote financial inclusion.”

Additionally, the campaign and the company’s growing subscriber base signal Airtel Kenya’s strengthening position in the competitive telecom sector, its broader ambition to drive digital transformation across the country.

“This is a thank you to every Kenyan who has supported our journey. We are not done. We will continue to grow, improve, and serve; Na bado tunagrow,” added Malhotra.
