Samsung Electronics has unveiled its bold “Companion to AI Living” vision at CES 2026, positioning artificial intelligence not just as a feature, but as the foundation of its products, services and user experiences across devices.
The announcement was made during The First Look, Samsung’s flagship CES event held at the Latour Ballroom at Wynn Las Vegas, where the company showcased next-generation AI-powered devices and experiences that will be on display at its exclusive exhibition through January 7.
Opening the event, TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, said Samsung’s expansive, AI-enabled connected ecosystem uniquely positions the company to deliver true AI companion experiences that go beyond basic functionality.
“Samsung is building a more unified, more personal experience across mobile, visual display, home appliances and services,” Roh said. “By embedding AI across categories, we are leading the way in delivering more meaningful everyday AI experiences.”
Entertainment Companion: Redefining Home Viewing
Samsung highlighted major advancements in home entertainment, led by its most ambitious display innovation yet — the 130-inch Micro RGB TV. Described as a breakthrough in both scale and picture quality, the display features independent microscopic red, green and blue light sources, enabling unprecedented color accuracy and brightness. Its Timeless Frame design minimizes visual distractions, allowing content to take center stage.
At the core of Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup is Vision AI Companion (VAC), an AI-powered system designed to work alongside users as a full entertainment companion. VAC offers personalized recommendations on what to watch, eat or listen to, and adapts to users’ moods and routines across the home.
Samsung also introduced advanced personalization features such as AI Soccer Mode Pro, which optimizes picture and sound for stadium-like experiences, and AI Sound Controller Pro, allowing users to adjust crowd noise, commentary or background music using voice commands. VAC-enabled TVs span the entire lineup, including Micro LED, Micro RGB, OLED, Neo QLED, Mini LED and UHD models.
The company further expanded its audio ecosystem with two new WiFi speakers, Music Studio 5 and 7 designed by renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec, and unveiled new lifestyle-focused products such as the ultra-thin OLED S95H and the portable Freestyle+ projector, both powered by VAC.
Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup will be the first to support HDR10+ ADVANCED, alongside the debut of Eclipsa Audio, a new spatial sound system across all 2026 TVs. The lineup is also powered by Samsung’s most advanced Tizen OS, with seven years of guaranteed upgrades.
Home Companion: Smarter Appliances, Simpler Living
Samsung also showcased how AI is transforming household appliances into proactive home companions. Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Digital Appliances Division, revealed that SmartThings surpassed 430 million users globally as of December 2025.
The Family Hub refrigerator, enhanced with AI Vision built with Google Gemini, now offers improved food recognition, automatic inventory tracking and simplified meal planning.
New features such as What’s for Today?, Video to Recipe, FoodNote and Voice ID aim to reduce daily decision-making stress while personalizing experiences for each family member.
Other highlights included the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, which eliminates the need to transfer laundry loads, the Bespoke AI AirDresser with Auto Wrinkle Care, and the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra, capable of recognizing liquids, monitoring homes remotely and responding to conversational voice commands.
Samsung also announced an expanded partnership with Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), allowing connected appliances to help reduce home insurance premiums. Following a successful U.S. pilot in 2025, the initiative will expand to more states and international markets.
Care Companion: From Reactive to Proactive Health
Samsung’s vision extends into digital health, with Praveen Raja, Vice President and Head of Digital Health at Samsung Research America, outlining a future where AI-driven insights help prevent health issues before they arise.
Through connected phones, wearables and appliances, Samsung aims to deliver personalized coaching for sleep, fitness and nutrition, while enabling secure sharing of health data with providers via the Xealth platform.
The company is also advancing dementia detection research using wearable data to identify subtle changes in mobility, speech and engagement.
Underlying the entire ecosystem is Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix, which the company said are continuously evolving to protect user data, secure AI training processes and mitigate emerging AI-related risks.
Samsung’s CES 2026 exhibition is open to the public from January 4 to 7, offering visitors a firsthand look at how the company envisions AI companions transforming entertainment, home living and personal care.
